Add as preferred source on Google<\/span> <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\nJoao Palhinha has reflected on Tottenham\u2019s 1-0 win over Wolves and the feeling inside the dressing room as the club desperately tries to avoid relegation from the Premier League.<\/strong><\/p>\n It was Palhinha who popped up with the all-important winner for Spurs at the Molineux Stadium, which was the Lilywhites\u2019 first league win in nearly four months.<\/p>\n However, the result did not change the club\u2019s situation much as West Ham maintained their two-point lead over their London rivals, owing to a stoppage-time winner against Everton.<\/p>\n According to Opta\u2019s Supercomputer, Tottenham remain big favourites to join Burnley and Wolves in the Championship next season.<\/p>\n In the lead up to the clash at the West Midlands, it felt like the Tottenham players had forgotten how it felt to win in the Premier League, having not won a single league game this calendar year.<\/p>\n The relief was evident in the faces of the players and the travelling Spurs fans at Molineux, with Palhinha confessing that it meant more than just the three points.<\/p>\n When asked about the reaction of the players after his goal and the final whistle, the midfielder told the club\u2019s official website: \u201cIt means much more than three points, this victory, the goal. Of course, I celebrate with the same emotion as before, but probably more with the fans and the crowd, because we\u2019re all together on this. They especially deserve this victory. Us as well.<\/p>\n \u201cIt has been a long time, really tough times to be at the club. I think we deserved it as well in the past, some victories probably more than today. We did more to win the game than today and we didn\u2019t reach those victories, but football is like that. The important thing is we took today the three points. We need to focus on the reality that we are right now and especially focus on the main goal this season, until the end of the season, which is to stay in the Premier League.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was not easy. The people that think that Wolves, it\u2019s easy, because they are in the bottom three\u2026 definitely not. You have the example of Liverpool, you have the example of Arsenal, what happened here with them. <\/p>\n \u201cThe truth is it\u2019s a team that doesn\u2019t have pressure right now, so, nothing changed for them and they are playing without any kind of pressure. Sometimes, this is more hard for the teams that will come here to this place. I think in some moments of the game we did well, especially at the end, we probably felt more anxious with the ball because we were just thinking to win that game \u2013 it was all about that.\u201d<\/p>\n The Tottenham star suggested that the win at Wolves \u201ccame too late\u201d for the Lilywhites, insisting that their performances of late had deserved better results.<\/p>\n The 30-year-old is hopeful that the win can give the players the lift they need to have a strong end to the season and pull themselves out of trouble.<\/p>\n When asked what the feeling inside the dressing room was like after the win over Wolves, Palhinha said: \u201cMore smiles than before, much more, because as I said, this win came too late in my opinion, because I think the team deserved to win games even in the past.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s much more than three points today and I think this can give us an extra boost for the rest of the season. That\u2019s the main thing.
