despite the \u20ac138 million signing of Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers.<\/p>\n<p>That is according to football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, who posted on <b>X<\/b>: \u201cHuge investment on Rogers won\u2019t change Chelsea plans to keep Jo\u00e3o Pedro even in case of +100m bid from Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s seen as crucial part of CFC long term project, as reported.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Maxence Lacroix talks<\/h2>\n<p>Chelsea have now held formal talks with Crystal Palace over a summer deal for Maxence Lacroix, as per <b>Ben Jacobs<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The France international has been earmarked as Chelsea\u2019s priority centre-back target amid their pursuit of a suitable partner for Levi Colwill, although Palace are reluctant to sanction a sale and have set their asking price at roughly \u20ac65m.<\/p>\n<p>Lacroix is also on Arsenal\u2019s radar, but Chelsea are believed to be the frontrunners for his signature and they are expected to ramp up negotiations over a deal following the conclusion of the World Cup.<\/p>\n<h2>Lewis Hall wants Man Utd<\/h2>\n<p>Newcastle United defender Lewis Hall favours a summer move to Manchester United despite rumoured interest from Chelsea, as per <b>TEAMtalk<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Left-back is a priority position for Chelsea this summer and they have been linked with the likes of Alvaro Carreras, Archie Brown and Hall amid the difficulties they are facing in their pursuit of Pep Chavarria.<\/p>\n<p>However, Hall isn\u2019t interested in returning to Stamford Bridge and is prioritising a move to Man Utd if he academy wonderkid Shumaira Mheuka, before sending him out on loan for the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n<p>The England U19 striker has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and while the Blues are understood to have the option to extend his contract by a further year, advanced negotiations over an extension are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, according to a report from <b>Football.London<\/b>Chelsea are close to reaching a contract agreement with Mheuka, who is set to leave the club on a season-long loan deal once fresh terms are fully finalised.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea are expected to announce Mheuka\u2019s new long-term contract at the same time as his loan move away from the club, although a destination has not yet been confirmed amid significant interest in his signature following a sublime 2025-26 campaign at academy level.<\/p>\n<h2>Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa?<\/h2>\n<p>On Saturday, Chelsea finalised an agreement to sign Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers and it\u2019s understood that Unai Emery\u2019s side are interested in signing Alejandro Garnacho as a possible replacement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is also important to mention that Aston Villa are still looking for wingers,\u201d Fabrizio Romano told his <b>YouTube channel<\/b>. \u201cFor example, I am told that one of the discussion points during the meeting with Chelsea was Alejandro Garnacho. At the moment, however, Garnacho&#8217;s priority is to explore different opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, at this stage, Aston Villa&#8217;s interest in Garnacho is not yet something concrete, although his name was discussed during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the moment, Alejandro Garnacho has an offer from Roma in Italy, and Roma are pushing very hard to sign him.
