Manchester United have reportedly launched an attempt to sign Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr in the ongoing summer transfer window.<\/p>\n
Heading into the window, bolstering the midfield was repeatedly stated to be United\u2019s top priority, especially after Casemiro\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n
The Red Devils have since announced the signing of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans from Chelsea and Aston Villa respectively. United are believed to be on the hunt for a third midfielder, with the likes of Manu Kone, Carlos Baleba, Adam Wharton and Alex Scott under consideration.<\/p>\n
Yet it\u2019s not just midfield where Carrick is looking to strengthen. Attack is also a priority, with wingers high on the wishlist.<\/p>\n
Like Casemiro, Jadon Sancho has also parted ways with the club, while uncertainty continues to surround the future of Marcus Rashford after Barcelona opted against making his stay permanent.<\/p>\n

Sarr played a crucial role in the Eagles\u2019 historic UEFA Conference League triumph, finishing the competition with nine goals and being voted the tournament\u2019s Player of the Season.<\/p>\n
He also bagged an impressive nine goals in the Premier League. Sarr\u2019s fine form extended to the World Cup with Senegal. The forward netted four times and contributed an additional assist on football\u2019s biggest stage.<\/p>\n
Now, Foot Mercato claim that United have launched enquiries for the 28-year-old.<\/p>\n
According to the news outlet, Sarr is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe. His consistency has not gone unnoticed.<\/p>\n
\u201cAccording to our information, Manchester United is among the clubs that have inquired about Isma\u00efla Sarr.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAlthough he is not the Red Devils\u2019 top priority to strengthen their attacking options, the Senegalese player is among the profiles being considered by Manchester United\u2019s recruitment team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Foot Mercato say that United are exploring multiple other options before definitively moving in for Sarr.<\/p>\n
On Sarr\u2019s stance, the report notes that he would very likely welcome overtures from United.<\/p>\n
While nothing is guaranteed, his lifelong support for the Red Devils would certainly give United a considerable advantage if they push for a deal.<\/p>\n
