West Ham have received great news in their pursuit of Axel Disasi thanks to Chelsea\u2019s blockbuster \u00a3117m move for Morgan Rogers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

West Ham\u2019s love affair with Axel Disasi may not be over as many assumed it would be following relegation from the Premier League.<\/p>\n

They say never fall in love with a loan player \u2013 but Hammers fans could not help themselves when it came to\u00a0Chelsea outcast Disasi in the second half of last season.<\/p>\n

The French centre-back was a revelation as he helped West Ham shore things up at the back and close a 13-point gap on Spurs to come within a solitary win of survival.<\/p>\n

But leading Chelsea insider Simon Phillips revealed the Hammers have lodged a \u00a325m bid with the Blues for Disasi since Daniel Kretinsky became majority owner.<\/p>\n

And Phillips also revealed Disasi was \u2018yet to turn the Hammers down\u2019.<\/p>\n

Now there is fresh encouragement for West Ham in their pursuit of the 28-year-old.<\/p>\n

Because the blockbuster Chelsea deal for Morgan Rogers is great news for West Ham\u2019s Disasi hopes.<\/p>\n

BBC Sport reporter Nizaar Kinsella has confirmed the worst kept secret in football, that Chelsea must balance their books this summer after recording whopping \u00a3300m plus losses in their last accounts.<\/p>\n

Chelsea were fined nearly \u00a330m by UEFA for breaching financial rules last summer and had to make record \u00a3300m plus sales to comply with FFP too.<\/p>\n

After shelling out for Rogers and a number of other players already this summer, Kinsella has confirmed Chelsea want to sell or loan out at least a dozen players from the 37 senior options on their books \u2013 and that includes West Ham target Disasi.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Chelsea have essentially accepted West Ham\u2019s \u00a325m offer for Disasi and the ball remains firmly in the player\u2019s court.<\/p>\n

On joining the Hammers in the winter, Disasi revealed his aunt, who lives in east London, is a big West Ham fan.<\/p>\n

With Chelsea desperately looking to recoup funds, the huge spend on Rogers can only help West Ham\u2019s case.<\/p>\n

Now it is down to Disasi and whether he prefers other options.<\/p>\n

Although West Ham fans were encouraged by a recent post on social media from the defensive leader as he trained during the summer with Hammers midfield ace Soungoutou Magassa.<\/p>\n
