Rayo Vallecano\u2019s Pep Chavarr\u00eda is keen on joining Chelsea and has reached an agreement with the Premier League side. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso has identified the left-back as the main target to replace Marc Cucurella, who left Chelsea for Real Madrid in June.<\/p>\n

A week later, we relayed news of the 28-year-old\u2019s full agreement with the Blues. The two clubs have to agree terms to get the deal over the line. The English club offered \u20ac25m including bonuses, which didn\u2019t please the La Liga side.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s multiple attempts falling short <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Uni\u00f3n Rayo, an outlet dedicating their coverage to the Spanish club, covers the latest on Chelsea and Pep Chavarr\u00eda.<\/p>\n

The fullback has agreed personal terms with the west London club and only a deal between the two clubs is missing.<\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso\u2019s side have made two offers, and the last one was around \u20ac25m, likely with bonuses.<\/p>\n

Rayo Vallecano have rejected them and continue to refuse to negotiate. The only way the Blues can sign him is by triggering his release clause. The Spanish media earlier stated he has a \u20ac50m clause.<\/p>\n

The Stamford Bridge club are on the verge of signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for \u00a3117m (\u20ac137.8m).<\/p>\n

Uni\u00f3n Rayo point that out and claims the operation for the England international \u2018contrasts sharply\u2019 with the ongoing negotiations for Pep Chavarr\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Chelsea have refused to meet the Spanish club\u2019s price and this would have come as a surprise to the latter, at a time when the Blues splashed \u00a3117m on Rogers.<\/p>\n

That deal has encouraged Rayo Vallecano to stand firm with their demand. They are well aware Chelsea\u2019s interest is real and are refusing to offer any discount.<\/p>\n

Rayo may be doing this to put pressure on Chelsea to slightly increase their last offer of \u20ac25m. There\u2019s the possibility of the clubs reaching an agreement for less than \u20ac50m.<\/p>\n
