Manchester United legend Paul Scholes is the latest pundit to have his say on Morgan Rogers\u2019 move to Chelsea.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rogers\u2019 transfer to Chelsea is stirring quite the debate, with the Blues paying a club-record \u00a3117m fee for his signature.<\/p>\n

Arsenal were also interested in the attacking midfielder, but Scholes thinks he has made the right choice by deciding to join Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Paul Scholes doesn\u2019t think Morgan Rogers would have played as regularly at Arsenal \u2014 he\u2019s right<\/h2>\n

Scholes is confident that Rogers will get more game time at Chelsea than he would have at Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the former midfielder believes the 23-year-old choosing to sign for the Club World Cup holders instead is the correct call.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football, he said: \u201cI think he\u2019s done the right thing going to Chelsea. I think he\u2019ll play more. We\u2019ve just seen (Eberechi) Eze go to Arsenal from Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot played a lot of football has he? Now look, it\u2019s down to you and that left-hand side. I suppose that\u2019s the only place Morgan Rogers could play for them now. Is he going to do that for Chelsea? I don\u2019t know. It\u2019s just\u2026 forget about the money. The money is just stupid. It\u2019s outrageous now for any player.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think for his development and for getting more game time\u2026 I suppose you have to back yourself if you\u2019re going to a club like Arsenal, of course you do. I just see him getting more time (at Chelsea).\u201d<\/p>\n

Those who watched Chelsea regularly last season will think Scholes is making a very valid point.<\/p>\n

The left-wing spot is up for grabs after Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens underwhelmed in their first year at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Gittens had some trouble with injury so could always have a revival in the new campaign, but Garnacho is set to leave.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, there is room for Rogers in the squad and, more importantly, in Xabi Alonso\u2019s starting XI. Paul Merson has his doubts about Chelsea\u2019s plans for Rogers, but it is clear where the England international is going to play.<\/p>\n

Arsenal are a title-winning team with top attackers. It would have been much harder for Rogers to get into their side.<\/p>\n

Where else Morgan Rogers could play at Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Rogers is versatile enough to play in more than one position under Alonso. As well as on the left, he can also play as a No.10, which is his natural position, and on the right.<\/p>\n

All in all, minutes should not be a problem for Rogers next season. It is just a matter of whether he can deliver with that huge transfer fee hanging over his head.<\/p>\n

Rogers seems like quite a confident player, though, and he does have an end product. He has the tools needed to be a success at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
