The Athletic claims they are interested in Newcastle United winger Antony Gordon, and a move is not dependent on Champions League qualification.<\/p>\n
Chelsea plan to change their recruitment policy this summer, prioritising Premier League-proven players, making Gordon an ideal target.<\/p>\n
His ability to run in-behind defences \u2013 a trait Chelsea have lacked this season \u2013 makes a move more appealing.<\/p>\n
Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the England international, having previously attempted to sign him from Everton in 2022.<\/p>\n
Gordon is also high on Bayern Munich\u2019s shortlist of attacking targets. He is considered an alternative to RB Leipzig\u2019s Yan Diomande.<\/p>\n
The Bundesliga giants are confident of luring him to the club, where he would link up with his England international teammate Harry Kane.<\/p>\n
Arsenal maintain an interest in Gordon, having explored signing him last summer.<\/p>\n
Liverpool also have a long-standing interest in him, but he is not considered a target for this summer.<\/p>\n
Newcastle are open to selling Gordon and will look to make a substantial profit on the \u00a340 million plus \u00a35m in add-ons they paid Everton for him in 2023.<\/p>\n
