Chelsea have completed the signing of England international Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa in a British-record \u00a3117 million deal.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract running until 2033, ending interest from Arsenal and several other Premier League clubs.<\/p>\n
Rogers insists Chelsea\u2019s long-term vision under new manager Xabi Alonso convinced him to make the switch.<\/p>\n

Chelsea have secured one of the Premier League\u2019s brightest attacking talents following an outstanding spell at Villa.<\/p>\n
He registered 40 goal contributions in just 85 league appearances, helping Villa secure a top-four finish and playing a key role in last season\u2019s Europa League triumph.<\/p>\n
Rogers gives Alonso another versatile attacking option capable of playing across the frontline or behind the striker.<\/p>\n
His physicality, creativity and direct running offer Chelsea a different dimension.<\/p>\n
His long-standing friendship with Cole Palmer should help ease his transition into the squad after the pair previously came through Manchester City\u2019s academy together.<\/p>\n
The transfer is also likely to accelerate Chelsea\u2019s summer clear-out.<\/p>\n
Despite already generating well over \u00a3120m through player sales, further departures are expected as the Blues restructure the squad to meet UEFA\u2019s financial regulations.<\/p>\n
