Former footballer-turned-pundit Emmanuel Petit believes Enzo Fernandez is fed up with playing for Chelsea, saying the midfielder is deliberately trying to ruin his relationship with the Blues. <\/p>\n
Petit made the remarks in response to Fernandez\u2019s antics following Argentina\u2019s 2-1 FIFA World Cup semi-final win over England.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n Thanks for the submission!\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/template><\/p>\n After the match, Fernandez posted a picture of himself alongside Lionel Messi and Leandro Paredes on Instagram, accompanied by the Oasis song Wonderwall, which became the soundtrack to England\u2019s World Cup campaign. <\/p>\n The Daily Mail <\/em>reported that the choice of music was widely interpreted as a dig at the Three Lions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n Speaking to Mr Gamble<\/em>Petit suggested it was time for his former side and Fernandez to part ways, stating that the midfielder has repeatedly conveyed his desire to leave the West London club in the last few months.<\/p>\n \u201cI would be shocked if Enzo Fernandez stays because obviously he doesn’t want to stay in England. You can see how he behaved during the World Cup. So I think he knows it, and this is why he did it, because he wants to go even further with this idea of breaking the relationship with Chelsea,\u201d Petit said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cI think he tried everything he could in the last few months to send strong messages to the Chelsea board saying, \u2018Listen, you see that I don’t want to stay.\u2019 So, I think for the best interest of both parties, they should just separate ways. During his maiden press conference as Blues boss, Alonso played down any talk of a sale.<\/p>\n When asked if he wanted Fernandez to remain at the club next season, Alonso responded:<\/p>\n \u201cYes.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cYes we have spoken.
