Chelsea\u2019s next generation is stepping into the spotlight, with Xabi Alonso selecting a wave of promising academy graduates for the Blues\u2019 pre-season tour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso didn\u2019t wait long to raid Cobham. Just two pre-season games in, and he\u2019s already handed minutes to academy teenagers like Landon Emenalo, Reggie Walsh, and Mahdi Nicol-Jazuli. <\/p>\n

\n

At this rate, Chelsea\u2019s summer tour will feature half an Under-18 squad while Alonso still looks sharper on the ball than them all.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s not forget, there will be an influx of players returning from rest after the World Cup, so there may be limited opportunities for the youngsters to impress.<\/p>\n

Seven Chelsea talents set to make the trip to Australia and Asia<\/h2>\n

For the summer tour, Xabi Alonso has brought seven academy prospects along for the ride, with six of them having been at the club since they were literally eight years old. <\/p>\n

According to The Secret Scout, England youth stars Calvin Diakite and Mahdi Nicol-Jazuli lead the pack, joined by Landon Emenalo, Reggie Walsh, Olutayo Subuloye, Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, and Reggie Watson.<\/p>\n

Alonso is reportedly blown away by their quality, which means these kids might actually force a few multi-million-pound senior stars to start sweating for their places.<\/p>\n
