We have seen some brilliant deals flying through the doors in the Premier League amid a hectic summer transfer window. Today, we\u2019re going to list five of the very best.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Picking out just five was a mountainous task. As such, we\u2019d like to list a few honourable mentions before we get into our gold-standard quintet.<\/p>\n

First of all, we must give mention to Chelsea\u2019s acquisition of Morgan Rogers. Making the jump to Stamford Bridge, he proclaimed that Chelsea were the \u2018biggest club in London\u2019 upon his arrival (via Chelsea\u2019s official website).<\/p>\n

There is no doubting his ability, but this one failed to make the top five on account of the money spent. \u00a3117 million is a hell of a wedge \u2013 it is simply too much of a gamble for us to rank highly in a list such as this.<\/p>\n

Much of the same can be said of Manchester City\u2019s successful bid to sign England star Elliot Anderson. At \u00a3116 million, he was also extremely expensive, but it\u2019s easy to see why the Sky Blues were eager to splash the cash when his monumental talents are taken into account.<\/p>\n

Finally, we\u2019d also like to give a shout-out to Jaidon Anthony, who was snapped up by Brentford from Burnley for \u00a317 million. A highly underrated player in the Premier League last season, notching up ten goal contributions in total, this could prove to be a real steal.<\/p>\n

Geovany Quenda \u2013 Chelsea (\u00a343.5m)<\/h2>\n

At over \u00a343 million, Geovany Quenda may have been a little expensive, but his potential in the modern game is almost without boundaries. At just 19 years of age, he is already amongst the best wing-backs in the world. <\/p>\n

Scoring two goals and notching up five assists in 20 Liga Portugal games last season, he also scored two goals and racked up two assists in the Champions League for Sporting CP.<\/p>\n

He is also incredibly adaptable. While he excels as a wing-back, he can play as a winger on either side, a left-back or even as an attacking midfielder.<\/p>\n

Jan Paul van Hecke \u2013 Tottenham Hotspur (\u00a352m)<\/h2>\n

You don\u2019t need us to tell you just how catastrophically bad Tottenham were last season. The board have seemingly recognised this, spending liberally on transfers, with Jan Paul van Hecke being one of their most impressive signings thus far.<\/p>\n

We were very impressed with Van Hecke\u2019s performances for Brighton last season \u2013 so much so, we actually included him in our Premier League team of the season XI. <\/p>\n

A very well-rounded modern defender, his ball-playing skills and raw defensive nous could make him an absolute superstar in North London.<\/p>\n

Xaver Schlager \u2013 Nottingham Forest (Free)<\/h2>\n

Nottingham Forest lost their midfield engine when Elliot Anderson departed the City Ground to join Manchester City. Thankfully, they had a decent replacement waiting in the wings.<\/p>\n

Xaver Schlager isn\u2019t on Anderson\u2019s level by any means, but he will certainly be able to plug the gaps he has left behind. Oh, and Forest signed him on a free transfer, too.<\/p>\n

He was a key player for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga last season, as they finished third in the Bundesliga table. As well as this, he was also part of Austria\u2019s squad at the 2026 World Cup, starting in all four of their games and notching up an assist along the way.<\/p>\n

Marcos Senesi \u2013 Tottenham Hotspur (Free)<\/h2>\n

Van Hecke was a brilliant transfer for Spurs, but they still had to pay a sizable fee for him. In the case of Marcos Senesi, they got him for absolutely free.<\/p>\n

Calling this a bargain doesn\u2019t really do it justice. Senesi was amongst the best centre-backs in the Premier League last season, leading Bournemouth to a sixth-placed finish in the league table.<\/p>\n

The Lilywhites needed to shore up their defence, after shipping 57 goals in 38 games \u2013 bringing the Argentinian international on board will pay major dividends towards righting this wrong. <\/p>\n

Harry Wilson \u2013 Leeds United (Free)<\/h2>\n

By far and away the best signing of the summer transfer window thus far. Harry Wilson was a creative force to be reckoned with for Fulham last season, scoring ten goals and racking up six assists.<\/p>\n

Now, he plays for Leeds United and the Whites didn\u2019t need to pay a single penny. We don\u2019t really need to explain any further as to why this was an incredible piece of business.<\/p>\n

It looks like Leeds are here to stay in the Premier League. Promoted clubs from the Championship often suffer from \u2018second season syndrome\u2019 \u2013 the West Yorkshire club aren\u2019t showing any signs of this whatsoever.<\/p>\n
