A move across the North London divide has been mooted as a shock possibility for an experienced Tottenham Hotspur star.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to various reports, Spurs are now prioritising selling some players before going big on new additions in the final few weeks of the window.<\/p>\n

Corriere dello Sport have now confirmed that Romero has emerged as Inter Milan\u2019s priority target, with the centre-back indicating an openness to move to San Siro.<\/p>\n

The outlet claims that Spurs are asking for \u20ac50m (\u00a342m) for their captain, whose representatives have spoken to the Nerazzurri.<\/p>\n

However, it is asserted that Arsenal and Chelsea pose a big risk to Inter\u2019s plans, as both London giants are showing an interest in Romero.<\/p>\n

The possibility of a Tottenham captain moving to the Gunners will rake up memories of Sol Campbell\u2019s ultimate betrayal back in 2001, when the centre-back signed for the Gunners after running down his contract with the Lilywhites.<\/p>\n

Why Spurs are unlikely to sell Romero to another Premier League club<\/h2>\n

It has been reported that Romero is generating plenty of interest after an outstanding World Cup campaign, and there is no doubt that Tottenham could get a bigger fee for the Argentine if they sold him to another Premier League club.<\/p>\n
