Chelsea\u2019s aims for the 2026-27 Premier League season will simply be to get back into the Champions League. But according to Jamie Gittens, the Premier League title is a step closer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues are currently in Australia preparing to get their pre-season campaign underway, beginning with a clash against Western Sydney Wanderers at Accam Stadium on Tuesday. Then, Chelsea face Spurs.<\/p>\n

The optimism is back after a dismal 10th-placed finish in the Premier League, which has resulted in the Blues failing to qualify for Europe. But with Xabi Alonso and Morgan Rogers on board, excitement is back.<\/p>\n

Open training was held at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, and Alonso was front and centre. Chelsea fans got to see his hands-on approach, including his work with Chelsea\u2019s youngsters like Landon Emenalo.<\/p>\n

Jamie Gittens thinks the Premier League is within reach<\/h2>\n

But it won\u2019t be Emenalo that delivers success at Chelsea. Rogers, on the other hand, could provide the Blues with the attacking spark required to make Chelsea a side feared once again in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Speaking after training had finished, Gittens \u2013 who has scored in both behind-closed-doors friendlies against Bromley and Crawley \u2013 believes the signing of Rogers takes Chelsea a step closer to the title.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to win everything \u2013 that is our ambition, to win the\u00a0Premier League, the\u00a0FA Cup, win anything that we\u2019re in. Bringing in a player like Morgan will hopefully raise the bar to win titles,\u201d he told The Mail.<\/p>\n

Jamie Gittens has to impress while Morgan Rogers rests<\/h2>\n

The sale of Alejandro Garnacho is good news for Gittens. Garnacho has gone on loan to Aston Villa with the Midlands club boasting a conditional obligation to buy him, with those conditions easily met.<\/p>\n

However, Chelsea have pitched the left-wing role to Rogers. While the England star rests after a busy summer, it leaves Gittens as Chelsea\u2019s first-choice option on the left and Gittens has got to impress.<\/p>\n

He has done that behind closed doors; now the \u00a355m signing has to do it as the opposition steps up. If Gittens can prove to Alonso that he is a trusted option, then he has a chance of redemption at Chelsea.<\/p>\n
