Internally, Leipzig want to keep Diomande for another year in order to boost his value further.

However, Leipzig need to raise €100 million from sales this summer. As a result, a Diomande exit can’t be entirely ruled out at this stage, which is why the outlet surmises that there could be a compromise that allows Leipzig to keep him for one more season, albeit only on loan.

 Man Utd’s centre-back plan

<picture></picture>
© IMAGO – Micky van de Ven

Man Utd interim boss Michael Carrick is happy with his centre-back options, but Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez need to prove their fitness, The Telegraph reports.

The Red Devils are generally content to go into the new season with their current centre-back options, following the contract extension of Harry Maguire.
