Add as preferred source on Google<\/span> <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\nTottenham Hotspur have a busy pre-season schedule with seven games lined up this summer.<\/p>\n Spurs, however, have got two friendly games off their list but still have five more games to play in pre-season before their Premier League campaign kicks off.<\/p>\n Up next is a game against Sydney in what is Tottenham\u2019s penultimate fixture of their tour of New Zealand and Australia, which kicked off with a game against Auckland and ends with a clash against Chelsea.<\/p>\n This summer has allowed Roberto De Zerbi time to work with several players, both youngsters and experienced stars, as the Italian aims to instil his principles before the next campaign.<\/p>\n With work still being done on the training pitches this summer, the game against Sydney on Wednesday morning could well be crucial for five Tottenham players who will be keen to impress.<\/p>\n Dominic Solanke has really not lived up to expectations since his move to Tottenham back in 2024. The Englishman was brought in to lead the line following the departure of Harry Kane but has failed to do so as many would have hoped since his move.<\/p>\n The former Bournemouth man has had to deal with injuries ever since he joined Tottenham, which has hindered his ability to make a notable impact.<\/p>\n It is no surprise, though, that Tottenham are now looking to bolster their attacking ranks this summer given how underwhelming the attack was last season.<\/p>\n Eli Junior Kroupi continues to be linked with a move to Tottenham and, should he join, that will only leave Solanke\u2019s starting spot in jeopardy.<\/p>\n Having a strong game against Sydney and throughout the rest of pre-season will very much help him keep his place in the Tottenham side.<\/p>\n Lucas Bergvall is one who wants to leave Tottenham this summer as he is in search of more playing time in his preferred number eight role.<\/p>\n Spurs, on the other hand, are not keen on losing the Swede this summer. The club will have to decide on his future soon.<\/p>\n Bergvall\u2019s desire to depart stems from the additions of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, two signings who secured big-money moves to Spurs costing \u00a3185 million.<\/p>\n With such fees, the two new midfield additions look set to be starters. Displacing them from the starting XI will be difficult, but that is the task facing Bergvall.<\/p>\n This pre-season could well be the perfect opportunity for the young midfielder to stake his claim, and doing so from the Sydney game onwards could very much help his chances.<\/p>\n Roberto De Zerbi opted for a much younger side against Auckland FC as he looked to reduce injury risks to his senior players following the long trip from England to Australia.<\/p>\n That saw senior stars, including Destiny Udogie, miss out. The Italian is yet to kick a ball in pre-season as well, with De Zerbi revealing that caution is needed with Udogie given his injury record.<\/p>\n Spurs have been linked with Neco Williams, who is capable of playing on either flank, while Andy Robertson is more than determined to become Tottenham\u2019s first-choice left-back.<\/p>\n With competition for places on his flank, having an impressive pre-season is absolutely vital and, should he make it onto the pitch against Sydney, he has to make the most of it.<\/p>\n The attack is the next area of focus for Tottenham, as confirmed by Roberto De Zerbi. The Tottenham boss made it clear that Spurs are aiming to sign their first-choice option.<\/p>\n Savinho continues to be linked with Tottenham as they work on completing a move for the Manchester City winger.<\/p>\n The Brazilian is capable of playing on either flank, much like Mathys Tel. The former Bayern Munich man impressed from the bench against Auckland FC, grabbing a well-worked assist.<\/p>\n He is currently the only fit left winger at the club, with Wilson Odobert injured and Simons, who is also capable of featuring out wide, unavailable.<\/p>\n Pre-season offers Tel the chance to stake his claim for the left-wing role and, should he carry his impressive cameo from the game against Auckland into the Sydney match, it will do his confidence a lot of good ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n Mikey Moore is one player who has been heavily involved in Tottenham\u2019s pre-season games so far this summer.<\/p>\n The teenager, fresh from an impressive loan spell in Scotland with Rangers, looks very keen to continue his development.<\/p>\n Moore mentioned after the game against MK Dons that he wants to play in the Premier League.
