Pape Matar Sarr\u2019s future continues to be the subject of much speculation as Tottenham continue rebuilding their squad ahead of Roberto De Zerbi\u2019s first full season in charge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The midfielder has not travelled to New Zealand and Australia as part of Tottenham\u2019s pre-season tour, even though he only made two substitute appearances for Senegal at the World Cup, and the Africans were knocked out in the round of 32.<\/p>\n

De Zerbi has said that Sarr asked for an extra week off due to a personal issue, but that has not stopped the fans from speculating, given the rumours about the 23-year-old\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Several sources have alleged over the summer that Spurs are willing to cash in on Sarr as part of their squad revamp.<\/p>\n

It was reported last month that Brentford had expressed an interest in the Spurs midfielder, as the Bees looked to add some reinforcements to their midfield.<\/p>\n

The West London club are also now losing Jordan Henderson, who is on the verge of joining Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Tottenham insider Paul O\u2019Keefe has revealed that Spurs had offered Sarr to Brentford earlier in the window, and may now try to do so again over the coming days.<\/p>\n

Champions League club also interested in Sarr<\/h2>\n

The Bees may face competition for the Senegal international, who is also rumoured to be on the radar of a Serie A giant.<\/p>\n

According to Il Mattino, Napoli have explored a move to sign Sarr from Tottenham, as they scour the market for a replacement for Frank Zambo Anguissa.<\/p>\n

However, journalist George Sessions revealed a few days ago that no club has shown a willingness to meet Spurs\u2019 valuation of the former Metz man this summer.<\/p>\n
