Chelsea owner BlueCo are working on signing FC Nordsj\u00e6lland\u2019s Caleb Yirenkyi this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n Last week, Sport Witness covered claims from Denmark that Chelsea have entered the race to sign the 20-year-old.<\/p>\n The media described it as a \u2018bombshell\u2019 as it\u2019s not common for the Blues to look at the Danish market.<\/p>\n Bold in Denmark now backs up the Premier League side\u2019s interest and covers the latest.<\/p>\n Chelsea\u2019s owners also own RC Strasbourg and have presented a concrete plan to the midfielder.<\/p>\n According to Bold, Xabi Alonso\u2019s side are still very keen, but BlueCo plan to sign him for the French club.<\/p>\n The Ghana international would have to move to Stamford Bridge via the Ligue 1 side. The two clubs have done business in recent years and could do so in the future for Caleb Yirenkyi.<\/p>\n FC Nordsj\u00e6lland sporting director Alexander Riget has indicated the player is likely to leave this summer. The Danish club are waiting for the right offer and value him at \u20ac30m.<\/p>\n \u201cCaleb played today (Sunday) because a sale isn\u2019t imminent,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n \u201cHe played well in the Superliga last season and has just played in the World Cup, where he performed very well. Many clubs have taken notice. There is, of course, interest in him. So far, we\u2019re not at the point where we\u2019re about to sell him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n L\u2019Equipe backs up\u2019s Bold\u2019s claim that RC Strasbourg are intensifying their efforts to sign Caleb Yirenkyi this summer.<\/p>\n FC Nordsj\u00e6lland have already rejected FC Porto and Coventry City bids and are asking for at least \u20ac25m in fixed fee.
