Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a summer move for Belgian sensation Mika Godts, but the Lilywhites have just discovered that a deal for the winger will not be easy to complete.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Godts is enjoying a breakthrough season at Ajax and appears to have all the makings of being the next superstar to emerge from the club\u2019s famous academy.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old has scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists in 29 Eredivisie games this term, and his performances have seen him break into the Belgian national side.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that Spurs have made multiple scouting trips to the Netherlands this season to watch Godts, but the Lilywhites have just discovered that they will face plenty of competition for the youngster.<\/p>\n

Six top European clubs join Tottenham in the race for Mika Godts<\/h2>\n

It has now been revealed by journalist Lentin Goodijk that Ajax man\u2019s list of admirers has grown considerably ahead of the summer window.<\/p>\n

He claimed that Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona are expected to make the trip to Johan Cruyff Arena this weekend to watch the 20-year-old in action against PSV Eindhoven, while three other big clubs also have the youngster on their wishlist.<\/p>\n

Goodijk said (via Voetbal Primeur): \u201cAgainst PSV, Arsenal, Chelsea and FC Barcelona will have their scouts in the stands. Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and all the other big clubs in Europe have him on their list.\u201d<\/p>\n

Godts\u2019 outstanding form may be bad news for Spurs<\/h2>\n

According to reports, Tottenham could have signed the Ajax star for \u00a340m in January, and the Lilywhites could well come to regret not doing so.<\/p>\n

Godts has produced some moments of outstanding magic over recent weeks, and his form has seemingly attracted a lot more attention ahead of the summer.<\/p>\n

That may make it difficult for Tottenham Hotspur to complete a deal for the 20-year-old, given that they will have no European football next season.<\/p>\n
