Tottenham Hotspur have identified Nathan De Cat as the ideal man to bolster their midfield ahead of next season, but the North London club\u2019s pursuit of the player just got harder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spurs\u2019 midfield is likely to see some big changes this summer, with reports suggesting that Yves Bissouma is expected to leave Hotspur Way this summer, while some sources suggest that Joao Palhinha\u2019s future also remains up in the air.<\/p>\n

The Lilywhites boast of some extremely talented young midfielders in their squad, with big things expected of the likes of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.<\/p>\n

The North London club are now looking to add another exciting teenage midfield talent to their squad this summer.<\/p>\n

Chelsea and Man City set to challenge Tottenham for Nathan De Cat<\/h2>\n

Last month, it emerged that Tottenham view Nathan De Cat as the \u2018ideal deep-lying playmaker\u2019 for their squad, having been impressed by the youngster in his breakthrough season at Andrelect.<\/p>\n

It has been suggested that Spurs are ready to make a \u00a330m offer for the Belgian international, but the Lilywhites\u2019 pursuit is now set to get a lot harder.<\/p>\n

According to TEAMtalk, Manchester City and Chelsea are now \u2018stepping up their interest\u2019 in De Cat, with both clubs doing \u2018detailed background work\u2019 on the 17-year-old ahead of the summer.<\/p>\n

With the midfielder having just a year left to run on his contract, he is now attracting plenty of interest ahead of the summer.<\/p>\n

Scouts from both the Blues and City have been left hugely impressed by De Cat\u2019s performances and his current development trajectory.<\/p>\n

Three other Bundesliga clubs also vying for De Cat<\/h2>\n

TEAMtalk do mention in their report that other Premier League clubs, including Spurs, have also been tracking the young Belgian over recent months.<\/p>\n

However, the interest in De Cat is not restricted to England, with Bayern Munich also said to be \u2018particularly keen\u2019 on landing the youngster.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are \u2018also firmly in the mix\u2019 for the Andrelect starlet, with both clubs set to continue their well-established strategy of recruiting elite young talent.<\/p>\n
