{"id":2779,"date":"2026-05-01T12:20:48","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T12:20:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/playball.com.ng\/?p=2779"},"modified":"2026-05-01T12:20:48","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T12:20:48","slug":"cole-palmer-deal-dependent-on-one-condition-with-chelsea-to-accept-130m-offer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/playball.com.ng\/?p=2779","title":{"rendered":"Cole Palmer deal &#8216;dependent&#8217; on one condition with Chelsea to &#8216;accept \u00a3130m offer&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div><!-- Article Start --><\/p>\n<p>Cole Palmer\u2019s proposed exit from Chelsea is said to be \u201cdependent\u201d on one condition amid interest from Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>Partly due to Chelsea\u2019s struggles this season, <strong>Palmer<\/strong> has been heavily linked with a potential exit from Stamford Bridge in recent months.<\/p>\n<p>This is also because the England international grew up as a <strong>Man Utd<\/strong> supporter and has been mooted as a long-term replacement for Bruno Fernandes.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025\/26 campaign has been frustrating for Palmer, who has had several injuries, but he remains one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe and would have plenty of options if he opted to leave.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Man Utd have reportedly been \u2018approached\u2019 over a deal to sign Palmer<\/strong>and Chelsea legend Joe Cole believes his exit is \u201cdependent\u201d on the Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, we want him to stay at Chelsea, he\u2019s been a great player for the club. He still is a great player for the club,\u201d Cole told GOAL.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: Man Utd keep or sell: No clear-out but \u00a3130m signings should go<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the situation with Chelsea is Champions League dependent for a lot of these players.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo matter how long you have players tied on contracts, you don\u2019t want unhappy players.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd if you\u2019re not, as a club, delivering the platform for Cole Palmer to play on, at the very least, his head\u2019s going to be turned. Because he wants to play at the top level in football. Of course he does.<\/p>\n<p><smartframe-embed customer-id=\"0b629b85ba2abe5ff39df9829ee5fb57\" image-id=\"mcfcXbxYCDCe\" style=\"width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 100%;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAgain, it\u2019s going to be Champions League dependent. We\u2019ll have to see what happens in the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE: Barcelona set Man Utd two conditions for Marcus Rashford deal and get immediate response<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Chelsea to \u2018accept \u00a3130m offer\u2019 for Cole Palmer<\/h2>\n<p>Last week, football finance expert Stefan Borson explained why <strong>he thinks Chelsea will \u2018accept a \u00a3130m offer\u2019 for Palmer, though he suspects only two clubs could afford to sign him.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cNext season is going to be interesting depending on what happens with Europe and their transfer business this summer,\u201d Borson told Football Insider.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt also depends on whether they decide to sell one of the success stories, so Palmer or Fernandez. But it\u2019s very hard to make a profit on Fernandez.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s easier to make a profit on Palmer, but the question is where\u2019s he going to go? For the sake of discussion, let\u2019s say they want \u00a3130m.
