In a recent interview with talkSPORT, journalist Andy Brassell urged Chelsea to sign Barcelona centre-forward Robert Lewandowski. Brassell said,<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly 13 starts in La Liga this season, although he\u2019s been available for many more.<\/p>\n

\u201c12 goals in those 13 starts, which is still pretty good.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know he can make a nuisance of himself against the best defenders still. So, if we\u2019re talking about a one-year deal for him to play in the Premier League, great, I think go for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, I know there will be people out there who say, \u2018Oh, well, you know a bottom half side could take a chance on him\u2019. It\u2019s not taking a chance, it is Robert Lewandowski! The only thing you\u2019re taking a chance on is, can he last the pace?<\/p>\n

\u201cUnless you\u2019re expecting him to start every game I think it\u2019s a more than palatable gamble, I think he\u2019d be good for Arsenal. I think he\u2019d be good for Chelsea.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou could even argue he\u2019d be good for Manchester United, if it wasn\u2019t for the fact that Benjamin Sesko probably needs a season where he\u2019s gonna start all the games.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd that would be your argument against Arsenal as well, the fact that (Viktor) Gyokeres has to play more to be more consistent and get better.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know he divides opinion but I think even though it\u2019s not the perfect first season at Arsenal, it\u2019s an acceptable first season at Arsenal. So, my immediate thoughts would be if we\u2019re looking at big clubs; Chelsea for a year.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot that they will do because they don\u2019t tend to do the experience thing. But I think a bit of experience would be perfect for Chelsea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lewandowski\u2019s Impressive Form In Spanish Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lewandowski has enjoyed a good run of form at the Catalan club as he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 37-year-old has scored 17 times and earned four assists in 41 matches for Barcelona this season in various competitions.<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Nou Camp will expire at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for the Blues to sign him on the cheap later this year.<\/p>\n

Will Lewandowski Be A Good Option For Chelsea?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lewandowski excels at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer the odd chance for his teammates in the final third.<\/p>\n

The Polish striker is a strong runner with the ball. However, he won\u2019t be a long-term fix to Chelsea\u2018s goal-scoring concerns this summer.<\/p>\n

We can expect Lewandowski to bring more firepower to the West London club\u2019s attack. At 37, he might still have a year or two left in his locker to play at a high level.
