Corriere dello Sport report that \u2018the big clubs are watching\u2019 the Aston Villa loanee while he shines in the Italian capital.<\/p>\n

\u20ac25m to \u20ac50m<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The newspaper explains that Donyell Malen has \u2018taken over Roma, Serie A and now the European transfer market\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Dutchman has been shining in Serie A since arriving on loan from Aston Villa in the January transfer window. Roma have an option to make the move permanent for \u20ac25m, which they will be doing.<\/p>\n

Indeed, their owners, the Friedkins, are expected in Rome this week to give the green light to the move and lock Malen down.<\/p>\n

The belief is that he is already worth double the \u20ac25m they\u2019ll have to pay. And 11 goals in 14 league games has, reportedly, got the big clubs watching.<\/p>\n

Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United<\/strong><\/h2>\n

According to Corriere dello Sport, half of Europe are \u2018moving in the shadows\u2019 as Donyell Malen continues to impress.<\/p>\n

Roma have made it clear that they wont sell. But according to the newspaper the Premier League is \u2018fretting\u2019. Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United have, reportedly \u2018turned their radars on\u2019 the 27-year-old Dutchman. Barcelona are watching too.<\/p>\n

Malen, for his part, is focused on the pitch. His numbers are already \u2018sensational\u2019. Only Gabriel Batistuta has scored more goals after his first 15 Serie A games for Roma.<\/p>\n

Noone has scored more goals in Serie A since his debut. Noone has managed more shots on target either. And his minutes to goals ratio puts him third across the top five European leagues. Those are numbers that convince, even if not everyone is. <\/p>\n

Italian bragging<\/strong><\/h2>\n

That, perhaps, is why Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United are all keen. But the reality is likely to be very different.<\/p>\n

Corriere dello Sport may insist that they\u2019re interested in the Aston Villa loanee, but it feels more like Italian bragging than serious interest.<\/p>\n

After all, all three clubs will have noticed his struggles at Aston Villa previously. And he hardly tore up the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund either.<\/p>\n

A short, successful spell in Serie A to date will hardly have them racing to pay \u20ac50m and bring him Donyell Malen back to England after five months, even if the Italians want to believe that\u2019s the case.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
