Chelsea have current Fulham manager Marco Silva on their shortlist for potential Liam Rosenior replacements, and Manchester United star Harry Maguire has given his former boss the seal of approval.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues are taking their time over selecting a new permanent head coach after many feel they made a mistake handing the job to Rosenior when he was at Strasbourg.<\/p>\n

Calum McFarlane proved with the FA Cup semi-final triumph that he is capable of leading the squad for now, as the likes of Behdad Eghbali assess all options.<\/p>\n

Harry Maguire says Chelsea managerial target Marco Silva is \u2018amazing\u2019<\/h2>\n

After reports that the owners want a manager with Premier League experience, Marco Silva has emerged as a candidate after excellent work in recent seasons with West London rivals, Fulham.<\/p>\n

His first Premier League job was with Hull City, where he was in charge of a recently-promoted side that included Harry Maguire.<\/p>\n

Despite only being in charge for half of the 2016\/17 season, the Portuguese manager left a lasting effect on Maguire, despite relegation.<\/p>\n

He told The Overlap: \u201cThen we got promoted to the Premier League. Steve actually left that year when we got promoted. And Marco Silva come in and he was amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Silva\u2019s Premier League credentials have only improved since this spell, taking charge of Watford and Everton before eventually settling at Craven Cottage.<\/p>\n

Marco Silva falls in line with Chelsea\u2019s transfer policy change<\/h2>\n

After years of prioritising signing younger players, Eghbali has hinted Chelsea are learning from their mistakes and looking to add experienced heads to their squad.<\/p>\n

Silva has consistently built his sides around players with Premier League experience, and would be the perfect candidate to lead Chelsea in this direction.<\/p>\n

There are a number of transfer targets who would fall into this category. Anthony Gordon has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Faith in BlueCo is at an all time low, and a managerial appointment that falls in line with their transfer policy would go a long way to starting to repair that relationship.<\/p>\n
