Former Chelsea player Jody Morris has urged the Blues to make a move for Manchester City star Bernardo Silva this summer.<\/p>\n

The Blues face a critical summer, and are expected to be busy with reinforcements required in several areas of the squad.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are thought to still be in for a centre back, whilst it\u2019s believed they want to add another midfielder and attacker.<\/p>\n

Jody Morris urges Chelsea to sign Bernardo Silva<\/h2>\n

Chelsea have been heavily criticised for their youth focused recruitment model, but it\u2019s been reported they\u2019re prepared to sign players with proven Premier League experience.<\/p>\n

Co-owner Behdad Eghbali has said the model will be tweaked, but fans won\u2019t believe him until they see action taken.<\/p>\n

A lack of leadership and know how is evident within the Chelsea squad, and Morris believes the Blues should be making a move for Silva.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut certainly bringing in people like Bernardo Silva would be good, his performance the other day was absolutely outstanding,\u201d he said as quoted by Metro.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s all we\u2019ve seen for nine years at Manchester City: Someone who is not big in stature, you wouldn\u2019t necessarily say he\u2019s physically unbelievable apart from the distance he covers, but he plays with pure intelligence, is brave as you like, is a great character and he\u2019s always available and turns up in big games.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo would I look at Bernardo Silva? Absolutely.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Silva has announced he\u2019ll be leaving Manchester City on a free transfer at the end of the season, but he almost certainly won\u2019t be playing his football at Chelsea next season.<\/p>\n
