Chelsea legend Petr Cech has said the club is \u201ccompletely different\u201d to how it was and doesn\u2019t believe you can compare it to the Roman Abramovich days.<\/p>\n

Cech was part of the successful Abramovich era where Chelsea were one of the best teams in the country, and won every trophy possible.<\/p>\n

After retiring Cech worked at the club as a technical director, a role he left following the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital takeover in 2022.<\/p>\n

Petr Cech doesn\u2019t recognise Chelsea anymore<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s an understatement to say Chelsea are a different club now, and things are done very differently under this ownership.<\/p>\n

Recruitment is heavily focused on signing young talents who are placed on long contracts, with players moved on very quickly.<\/p>\n

Success on the pitch has been lacking over the last four years, although Enzo Maresca did win two trophies and get the club back in the Champions League last season.<\/p>\n

However, Chelsea currently sit ninth in the league, and are on course to miss out on the Champions League for the third time in four seasons.<\/p>\n

Fans don\u2019t recognise the club anymore and have protested against the ownership, and Cech also feels the club is different.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s different,\u201d he told The Athletic.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe if I were there on a daily basis, I would, I would see it differently. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFrom what you see from the outside, I don\u2019t think you can compare because of the vision and the way that the club operates, how they want to do things. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s completely different from how it was.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
