Chelsea interim boss Calum McFarlane says the mood at the club has been transformed by their recent FA Cup semi-final victory.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Blues headed to Wembley on the back of a poor run of Premier League form but booked their place in the final with a hard-fought win over Leeds.<\/p>\n McFarlane believes the result has provided a vital lift for the players ahead of Monday\u2019s clash with Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s always difficult when you\u2019re not performing and not getting the results that you feel like you need,\u201d McFarlane said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s amazing how a win can change the feel and the atmosphere and the momentum with the group.<\/p>\n \u201cThey have been in a really good place the last two days they trained, as has the staff and the club as a whole. Hopefully we can continue that.\u201d<\/p>\n McFarlane, who stepped up from his role with the Under-21s in January following the departure of Enzo Maresca as head coach, will lead the side at Stamford Bridge for the first time as interim manager.<\/p>\n And he is hoping the positive energy from the Wembley win will carry over to the home crowd.<\/p>\n \u201cWe need the fans. We need the crowd to bring a positive energy and get behind the team,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n \u201cWe all want to do well for this club. We know that there\u2019s still a lot to play for.
