Chelsea started the 2025\/26 season on a high, having beaten PSG in the\u00a0Club World Cup\u00a0to become world champions. However, three major issues, constant manager changes, a massive injury list, and a total loss of form have left the club struggling to even qualify for Europe. Enzo Maresca left Chelsea on New Year\u2019s Day with the club 15 points behind Arsenal. They had won only once in seven league games. The split happened because of tension between Maresca and the board over the medical staff, his media interviews, and rumours that he was taking other jobs.<\/p>\n

Chelsea then hired Liam Rosenior from Strasbourg, giving him a massive contract until 2032. That didn\u2019t last long; Chelsea fired him on April 22, 2026, after a bad 3-0 loss to Brighton.
