Chelsea are on the lookout for a new manager after the decision to sack Liam Rosenior and Jamie Carragher suggested a potential name who could take the job after Monday\u2019s defeat to Nottingham Forest<\/h2>\n <\/p>\n\n

Jamie Carragher has suggested that the appointment of Andoni Iraola could make Chelsea fans \u2018fall in love\u2019 with the team again. The Blues have endured a miserable season this term, with managerial changes having been at the forefront of their issues.<\/p>\n
Enzo Maresca left the club in January to be replaced by Liam Rosenior. But the 41-year-old lasted just over three months at Stamford Bridge, losing ten of his 23 games in charge.<\/p>\n
Calum McFarlane has been handed the reins on an interim basis until the end of the season while Chelsea consider their next steps. Presented with a group of possible candidates for the role after Monday\u2019s defeat to Nottingham Forest, Carragher gave his verdict.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cI think you probably rule out the bottom three (Mourinho, Lampard and Conte). They\u2019ve all managed Chelsea before, so I don\u2019t see that. I also don\u2019t see Glasner, because of the back three.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve had this conversation before. I don\u2019t see Xabi Alonso there, because of his link as a Liverpool player and Chelsea being a big rival at the time. I might be wrong on that but I think if he was coming to the Premier League, it would be Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Filipe Luis is doing really well, obviously had a spell at Chelsea as a player.\u201d<\/p>\n
The former Liverpool man then claimed that outgoing Bournemouth boss Iraola would be an ideal appointment – albeit does see one major issue.<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cWhen you see someone like Iraola, I don\u2019t think you could ever fall out of love with his team if you were a supporter. You understand what I mean?<\/p>\n
\u201cThey always run. There\u2019s always that running element. They will lose games. They will maybe pick up injuries because of the style of play.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would probably like to see it in a bigger job and how he adapts. It would be a lot more difficult with more games and probably would be a bit more injuries, a bit like Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool when Liverpool picked up injuries.<\/p>\n
\u201cI almost feel like Chelsea supporters need to fall back in love with the club again. Right now, I don\u2019t feel like there\u2019s any real feeling, there\u2019s a real dislike for the people running the club but the people playing for the club as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Iraola has been linked with a host of other clubs as he prepares to depart the Vitality Stadium. Premier League rivals Manchester United are among those reportedly considering the Spaniard, while Athletic Bilbao have regularly been linked.<\/p>\n
