The Nottingham Forest fans who travelled to Stamford Bridge sang about Tottenham Hotspur as their side put Chelsea to the sword.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Forest continued their brilliant run of form by picking up a comprehensive 3-1 win over Chelsea on Monday.<\/p>\n

The result has essentially made the race for survival into a two-horse one, with V\u00edtor Pereira\u2019s men moving five points clear of the Lilywhites and six clear of the Hammers.<\/p>\n

The Forest fans who made the trip to West London were certainly aware of the importance of the result in the lead-up to the second leg of their Europa League semi-final against Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

Nottingham Forest fans rile up Chelsea supporters with Tottenham comparison<\/h2>\n

BBC Sport revealed during their live commentary that the Forest faithful were in full voice while seeing their team demolish the Blues on Monday night.<\/p>\n

According to the website, the away fans were chanting, \u201care you Tottenham in disguise?\u201d as they were watching Chelsea go down without a fight.<\/p>\n

It was not only a dig at Spurs, but the chant carried extra sting to the Blues fans, given their rivalry with the North Londoners.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the BBC also revealed that Forest fans broke into chants of \u201cwe are staying up\u201d, which they certainly are on course to do, although they are not mathematically safe just yet.<\/p>\n

Relegation battle this season has very little margin for error<\/h2>\n

Usually, relegation fights, unlike title races, are characterised by inconsistency, and usually just one or two wins can make a big difference at the bottom of the table.<\/p>\n

However, this season, due to the quality of teams at the bottom, the battle for survival has resembled a fight for Champions League qualification at times, with all teams consistently picking up points over recent weeks.<\/p>\n

West Ham, Forest and Leeds have all been in decent form over recent weeks, which is why Tottenham cannot rest easy despite their win over the Villans.<\/p>\n

De Zerbi will be aware that Spurs are not out of the woods yet and may need two more wins to secure their Premier League status.<\/p>\n
