At one point, you need to keep some type of a core to build around and see where you\u2019re going,\u201d the former striker said.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou also need give a manager to have time to show what he\u2019s about. It took Mikel Arteta a little while to put things together at Arsenal. It\u2019s time to give a manager time to be able to work and see what\u2019s needed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s easy to say that Chelsea need to give managers time \u2013 and it\u2019s a sensible idea. But which manager should have been given more time? Liam Rosenior had a team that had given up on him and were not going to even attempt to play until he was sacked. It was the same story with Graham Potter.<\/p>\n In those cases, patience would only have made things worse.<\/p>\n Meanwhile Enzo Maresca and Mauricio Pochettino left of their own volition, albeit in different ways.
