Fake narrative? I\u2019m sorry, but there\u2019s things that some people say that really grind me. It\u2019s absolutely NOT fake to say Cole Palmer has not been in his best form this season. For me, anyone who knows football can see that we have not seen the best Cole Palmer this season, there is nothing about saying that that is fake. Please!<\/p>\n
McFarlane went on to say that Palmer is a \u2018top, top player\u2019, which is something we can ALL agree on. But to say that he is NOT out of form is just incorrect in my opinion and it is YOU who has the \u2018fake\u2019 narrative on this. I bet even Cole himself will tell you he\u2019s not been at his best.<\/p>\n
Just look at his first season at the club. Palmer basically carried this team through an entire season, and if it wasn\u2019t for him then things would have gotten really bad. Remember the whole Cole Palmer FC thing? They weren\u2019t saying that for no reason, Palmer was that good. Nobody can tell me that he is now still playing to that level and having that same effect, not one person. So yes, Palmer is not in his best form and has been inconsistent, and it\u2019s completely fine to admit that.<\/p>\n
I wouldn\u2019t expect McFarlane to admit it, but to say it\u2019s a fake narrative thinking Palmer has not been at his best lately is just taking it too far. There\u2019s protecting your players, then there\u2019s delusion.<\/p>\n
There will be many reasons for Palmer\u2019s form not being at it\u2019s best. One of them is the injuries he has been playing through. He\u2019s been playing with regular pain. That of course will effect him. There hasn\u2019t been a good feel around the club once again this season, so that effects form too. Many things, many reasons. It doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s become a bad player, and we all know how important he is to our team and is a superb player on his day, whilst also acknowledging he hasn\u2019t quite been at it lately.
