Interim head coach Calum McFarlane is well liked by the Chelsea players, and rated as a coach according to The Athletic.<\/p>\n

Following the sacking of Liam Rosenior on Wednesday, McFarlane has been placed in interim charge for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

He oversaw games against Manchester City and Fulham earlier this season following the departure of Enzo Maresca, and picked up a point from those two games.<\/p>\n

Calum McFarlane liked by Chelsea squad<\/h2>\n

McFarlane will lead Chelsea out at Wembley for their FA Cup semi final against Leeds on Sunday, and he\u2019ll be tasked with getting a response from the players.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are on a run of five consecutive defeats without scoring in the league, and it\u2019s arguably the lowest point under the ownership.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a huge job for McFarlane given his lack of experience at the highest level, and the players will really need to step up and help him.<\/p>\n

There was reportedly a lack of respect for Rosenior in the dressing room, as well as criticism over his training sessions.<\/p>\n

However, The Athletic have reported McFarlane is actually well liked by the players and respected as a coach .<\/p>\n

He will face the media on Friday afternoon ahead of the FA Cup semi final, where he\u2019s sure to be met with a lot of questions.<\/p>\n
