Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has called out the Chelsea owners for making their biggest mistake \u2013 there\u2019s been many.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

When you look back at the amount of mistakes that these new Chelsea owners have made in the four years they have owned the club, you will have lost count of them. It\u2019s been pure ignorance, but some of the mistakes have been bigger than others.<\/p>\n

Mikel has rightfully called out their biggest mistake though, or at least it is their biggest mistake in my opinion \u2013 they have literally gutted out the entire club of anyone who was formerly here under the previous ownership and they have refused to bring in any former players to any roles. John Terry has a tiny role in the academy, but that\u2019s literally it.<\/p>\n

In words picked up on X this week, Mikel said on his latest Podcast:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s this thing of BlueCo not wanting anyone who represented the football club before and who helped build the club to what it is today. They don\u2019t want the people still, which is the wrong thing to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou need to continue that success. You need the people who knew what it took to build the football club to what it is today. You need the people to continue the success, the culture. We don\u2019t have that any more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chelsea have ruled out an\u00a0attempt to bring Xavi Hernandez in as their new manager according to Ben Jacobs\u2019 reporting today. What\u2019s odd is that it was Jacobs who reported Chelsea made contact with Xavi just moments before he said this!?<\/p>\n
