Chelsea star Joao Pedro has shared his message for Chelsea fans after their 3-1 loss to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on May 4. The Blues have had an underwhelming campaign this time, with two head coaches changed in a span of four months. <\/p>\n
The loss against Nottingham Forest marks Chelsea’s sixth consecutive loss in the Premier League for the first time since 1993. The Blues are ninth in the table with 48 points from 35 games, and are out of consideration for all European competitions as of writing. The West London giants have gone through a time of turmoil since the sacking of coach Enzo Maresca in January, who was replaced by Liam Rosenior. However, Rosenior was also removed from the sidelines last month, with interim coach Calum McFarlane now at the helm. <\/p>\n

He said (via GOAL):<\/p>\n “From the beginning we conceded too early which made it really difficult to turn the game around. We need to find a way not to make these mistakes every game. This is the Premier League. If you concede very early, it\u2019s difficult to come back. Everyone needs to look at themselves, me included, to find a way to do better. I feel sorry for the fans. We need to see where we can improve.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Pedro added:<\/p>\n “We need to improve. Everyone needs to step up, me included. We always talk to each other to find a way to win games. Last week we beat Leeds, this week it didn\u2019t happen. We need to find a way to be consistent. I think the motivation is always there. We still need to fight for every point, every game and in the end, we can see what we can achieve.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Chelsea have four remaining games in the Premier League, with their next one being an away clash against Liverpool. They will also face Manchester City in the FA Cup final on May 16. <\/p>\n In an interview on Sky Sports after Chelsea’s 3-1 loss to Nottingham Forest, Jamie Carragher criticized the Blues’ recent poor run in form. He said:<\/p>\n “It’s shocking, and it comes from the top. There’s five or six really top players on the pitch today, and they’ve been beaten by Nottingham Forest’s B team. Less than 12 months ago, they were taking PSG to the cleaners.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n He added:<\/p>\n “There’s no connection between the players and the staff, the players and the fans. In some ways, it’s a good thing because it tells you that football isn’t just all about spending money, buying players and this revolving door. It’s about creating togetherness and there’s nothing there.
