Liverpool were without Alexander Isak, Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker as they trained on Wednesday afternoon for Saturday’s visit from Chelsea.<\/p>\n
Ibrahima Konate was also absent from the session as the Reds stepped up their preparation for what is the penultimate home game of the campaign this weekend.<\/p>\n
Isak missed Sunday’s 3-2 defeat at Manchester United after suffering what was described as a minor groin problem last week. The \u00a3125m striker only returned after nearly four months out with a broken leg in April and Liverpool have been keen not to take any risks with their record signing as a result.<\/p>\n
And that absence continued on Wednesday as the players went through the motions before the game against managerless Chelsea, who have lost six games in a row while scoring just once.<\/p>\n

Salah suffered a hamstring injury against Crystal Palace on April 25 and while he is expected to be cleared to feature before the end of the campaign – which will mark the closing of his nine-year career at Anfield – the Egyptian was also missing.<\/p>\n
The Egyptian forward is believed to be targeting next week’s visit to Aston Villa as his comeback fixture but is still likely to feature against Brentford at Anfield on May 24 regardless.<\/p>\n
Alisson’s absence with a hamstring issue continues and the Brazilian has now missed 10 league fixtures this term. The Brazil international was set to return to training last week, according to Slot, but missed the United match and played no part in the outdoor session at the AXA Centre on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Alisson, who is a summer target for Serie A giants Juventus, needs to feature in all three of the Reds’ final three games to equal the fewest amount he has played in a Premier League season for Liverpool of 28, which was recorded across both of the last two terms.<\/p>\n
Giorgi Mamardashvili was another who remains sidelined after wounding his knee in the 2-1 win at Everton last month. Initial reports claimed the Georgia international was set to be on the shelf for three weeks.<\/p>\n
