Chelsea were \u201cglad to see the back\u201d of former manager Enzo Maresca, according to Sky Sports\u2019 top reporter.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Kaveh Solhekol\u2019s long article for the Sky Sports website about where things have gone wrong at Chelsea has some interesting stuff in it.<\/p>\n

He looks at the departure of Enzo Maresca, and how the players have never really forgiven the club for that decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaresca was somebody who got them into the Champions League, won two trophies in his first season, but behind the scenes, things went wrong,\u201d Solhekol wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were problems with personal relationships with other people at the club, lots of people falling out and it got so bad that he walked out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Chelsea were quite glad to see the back of him, but looking back now, it was a big mistake to let him go because he was definitely onto something and the players believed in him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Behind the scenes blame will never be certain after falling out<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s hard to judge from the outside where the blame should lie. Was Maresca being unreasonable in his demands? Or, given how he\u2019s done compared to the managers before and since, should those above him have been more willing to compromise?<\/p>\n

All that\u2019s certain now is that things have got a lot worse since the disputes began back in the Autumn.<\/p>\n
