Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to ramp up their effort to sign the Brighton defender, Jan Paul van Hecke, at the end of the season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea and Liverpool have made enquiries for the 25-year-old Netherlands defender in recent weeks, and they are prepared to make a move for him.<\/p>\n

Spurs could use Jan Paul van Hecke<\/h2>\n

Tottenham need more quality in the defensive unit, especially with players like Cristian Romero linked with an exit. They need to tighten up at the back as well. They have been quite vulnerable defensively, which is one of the main reasons they are fighting for survival in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see if they can secure safety in the top flight and sign the 25-year-old in the summer.<\/p>\n

According to reports from TEAMtalk, Roberto De Zerbi is ready to reunite with Dutch defender at Tottenham, and the presence of the Italian manager at the home could give the North London club an advantage in the transfer race.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham come forward with an official offer for the 25-year-old in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Chelsea also need quality defenders. Chelsea might need to replace players like Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile. Whereas Liverpool will lose Ibrahima Konat\u00e9 on a free transfer.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old Dutch defender could be a quality player for all three clubs. He has shown his quality in the Premier League with the Seagulls, and this could be the right time for him to take the next step and join a bigger club. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.<\/p>\n
