Chelsea interim Calum McFarlane called his team\u2019s performance on Monday \u201cunacceptable\u201d, and was asked whether he had put that to them.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n If you enjoy Chelsea News coverage and want to see more of it, add us as a preferred source on Google to make us a favourite and see more of our content.<\/em><\/p>\n In his press conference today, Chelsea caretaker manager Calum McFarlane was asked about his comments on Monday after the defeat to Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n He called the first 15 minutes of that game \u201cunacceptable\u201d from the perspective of his side\u2019s performance, and today was asked if he had told his players that was how he felt:<\/p>\n \u201cMy role as the coach is to review the game and explain the moments that have cost us or moments that we could have taken more advantage of,\u201d McFarlane said.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, we\u2019re looking at it more from a football perspective in some of the things that happened within that game that we can do a lot better and hopefully that shows on Saturday.<\/p>\n That sounds like a long way of saying \u201cno\u201d, to be honest. Maybe there\u2019s no point in calling out the players for not being good enough, they\u2019re not going to listen anyway.<\/p>\n They\u2019ve had multiple managers tell them that, and haven\u2019t raised their level at all.<\/p>\n Chelsea look a broken team right now, and it\u2019s not getting any easier.
