Newcastle are willing to explore a move for Liam Delap this summer, but Chelsea insist he\u2019s not for sale according to reports.<\/p>\n

The Blues fought off interest from a number of Premier League clubs last summer to sign Delap from Ipswich in a deal worth \u00a330m.<\/p>\n

However, Delap has really struggled this season, and has managed just two goals in 38 appearances in all competitions, with only one of those in the league.<\/p>\n

Newcastle willing to explore move for Liam Delap<\/h2>\n

Delap has provided no competition for Joao Pedro, and the Brazilian has had a successful first season scoring 15 league goals so far.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old hasn\u2019t been helped by injury issues, but when he has played he\u2019s simply not delivered to anywhere near the standard required or expected.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Delap hasn\u2019t scored since the 2-1 defeat to Fulham in January, a run stretching over 20 matches, with his other goal coming in the 3-0 win against Barcelona in November.<\/p>\n

Given his struggles Delap has been linked with a move Everton, and Mail Sport have reported he\u2019s a striker Newcastle would be willing to explore a move for.<\/p>\n

The report adds Chelsea insist he\u2019s not for sale and doesn\u2019t want to leave the club, but their stance could change once they enter the market.<\/p>\n
