Liam Rosenior insists he feels \u201c100%\u201d supported by Chelsea\u2019s hierarchy as he looks to arrest a disappointing run of results ahead of a massive week for the club.<\/b><\/p>\n
The Blues face a trip to Brighton on Tuesday night before an FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United at Wembley on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Despite a recent slide that has left Chelsea seven points adrift of the Champions League places, Rosenior insists the dialogue with owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali remains positive.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve been supportive of me,\u201d Rosenior said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn our daily conversations, with the sporting directors involved as well, they\u2019ve been magnificent in their support of me and the team.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know we need to win games of football in the \u2018now\u2019, but that doesn\u2019t go against what we\u2019re trying to do, which is give success\u2014consistent success\u2014to this club long-term.\u201d<\/p>\n
The head coach\u2019s comments follow recent public backing from the ownership, who have reiterated their commitment to the \u201cproject\u201d while also hinting at a shift toward adding more experience to the squad in the summer.<\/p>\n
Rosenior added: \u201cI can assure you we\u2019ve had many conversations from when I joined in January about what this club needs now and in the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cBehdad made it very clear; he wants consistent trophies and success. We are all very aligned in what we have to do to get this club back to where it should be.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chelsea\u2019s recent performances have been statistically dominant \u2014 creating more shots than any other Premier League side since March \u2014 but a lack of clinical finishing and defensive lapses have proven costly.<\/p>\n
Rosenior admitted that while the \u201cprocess\u201d is important, the immediate demand for results at Stamford Bridge is unavoidable.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a coach, you have to work to the process because you believe it works in the end, but in this moment, we need to win a game of football,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s the fundamental. That\u2019s what this club demands. Data is one thing, but the most important statistic is the result.\u201d<\/p>\n
