Barcelona were offered the player, but they can\u2019t afford the kind of transfer fee we\u2019ve been talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBayern, on the other hand, could pay this if they wish to. So it\u2019s getting interesting to see who\u2019s joining the poker table. I\u2019m personally more afraid of Chelsea, as they have the resources to make a deal happen. Not to mention, they could use Nicolas Jackson as a makeweight in a potential swap deal (and we know Newcastle are interested in the Senegal international).\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Newcastle have set a sizeable asking price<\/h2>\n<p>The Magpies are requesting that clubs pay \u00a380m for Gordon. Jamie Gittens has proven to be an <strong>awful signing<\/strong> so far.
