Liverpool manager Arne Slot has provided an injury update as Alexander Isak and Giorgi Mamardashvili are back in training, while Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker are still out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Reds are enduring a frustrating season, and injuries have been a big part of that, with Isak in particular struggling to make anywhere near the kind of impact expected of him due to ongoing fitness issues.<\/p>\n

Salah has also not been at his best and it won\u2019t have helped him to have missed a lot of games, with there seemingly still being no sign of the Egypt international coming back, as reported in the X post below by Paul Joyce\u2026<\/p>\n

It sounds like a positive that Isak and Mamardashvili could return for Liverpool, but fans will hope that there can be further positive updates soon on Salah and Alisson.<\/p>\n

Still, there\u2019s not a huge amount left to play for for LFC in the final games of this season, as they can\u2019t win any trophies and should just about be safe in terms of finishing in the Champions League qualification places.<\/p>\n

Liverpool left reeling after difficult season<\/h2>\n

Slot had a superb first season at Anfield when he guided Liverpool to the Premier League title, and they were many pundits\u2019 favourites to do so again after spending big last summer.<\/p>\n

However, Isak has been a particular disappointment, while Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong have also not lived up to expectations.<\/p>\n

Hugo Ekitike performed well until picking up a serious injury, but overall the recruitment just hasn\u2019t been good enough by the Merseyside giants.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see if Slot can overcome these current injury issues and end the season strongly, because if not he will surely be facing serious questions over his future as manager.<\/p>\n
