Former Chelsea star Shaun Wright-Phillips has claimed that Joao Pedro should look to leave Stamford Bridge at the earliest. The Brazilian joined the Blues from Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal worth \u00a360 million last summer and has been one of their best players in a forgettable season.<\/p>\n
Despite Pedro excelling in south London, Wright-Phillips he’s too good a player to be missing out on Champions League football. Chelsea have lost six straight games in the Premier League and are at serious risk of missing out on qualification for all three European competitions next season.<\/p>\n

He even went on to claim that if he was Pedro, he would personally do everything to complete that transfer to join the Catalan club.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n Wright-Phillips told Somos Fanaticos (h\/t The Standard<\/em>):<\/p>\n “I believe it would be fantastic for Joao if he were to go.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Personally, given the way Chelsea has been run, if I were him, I would do everything to complete this transfer.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Wright-Phillips highlighted the possibility of Pedro playing alongside Raphinha and Lamine Yamal as something ‘great’ and backed the Brazilian to score many goals if he made the switch to Camp Nou.<\/p>\n He added:<\/p>\n “Playing at Camp Nou, alongside Raphinha and (Yamine) Lamal, would be great for him. He would score many goals, since we have already seen what he did in a team that wasn\u2019t as good as this Chelsea team.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “If I were Joao Pedro, I would want to play in the Champions League, and I can\u2019t see Chelsea qualifying for any European competition. Joao has the level and deserves to be playing in the Champions League.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Pedro, who was the 18th forward to sign for the Premier League giants under BlueCo, has a contract with the club that runs until 2033.<\/p>\n After the 3-1 loss against Nottingham Forest on Monday, Joao Pedro admitted that he felt sorry for the Blues’ fans. The 24-year-old netted his 15th goal of the Premier League season during the game with a stunning overhead kick. <\/p>\n However, many of the fans had already left Stamford Bridge after having witnessed the team go 3-0 down to Forest. Speaking after the game, Pedro admitted that all players must have a hard look at themselves after this woeful display.<\/p>\n He stated:<\/p>\n “From the beginning we conceded too early which made it really difficult to turn the game around. We need to find a way not to make these mistakes every game. This is the Premier League. If you concede very early, it\u2019s difficult to come back. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Everyone needs to look at themselves, me included, to find a way to do better. I feel sorry for the fans. We need to see where we can improve.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Chelsea next face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
