Manchester United are looking to sign the West Ham United defender El Hadji Malick Diouf.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 21-year-old left back has excelled in the Premier League since joining the London club, and he impressed in the AFCON as well. There is no doubt he has the quality to play for Manchester United, and the Red Devils believe that he \u201cticks a lot of boxes\u201d for them. <\/span><\/p>\n

Chelsea is also interested in signing Diouf.<\/p>\n

According to Football Insider, they are looking to capitalise on West Ham United\u2019s struggles and sign the player. They are fighting for relegation, and they could end up in the championship soon. They will struggle to keep their best players in that case. The 21-year-old will want to compete in the Premier League, and Manchester United will be an attractive destination.<\/p>\n

Manchester United need more quality in the left-back department. They need a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw, and Diouf would be ideal. He could compete with Patrick Dorgu for the starting spot. He has been a reliable performer for West Ham United despite their struggles this season. He could improve further when playing on a better team alongside quality players.<\/p>\n

Man United move would be ideal for Diouf<\/h2>\n

Manchester United could help him further develop and fulfil his potential. Champions League exposure could accelerate the development of the 21-year-old defender. It will be interesting to see if they can agree on a deal with West Ham in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Manchester United have done well to return to the Champions League, and they will look to fight for trophies next year. They need to plug the weaknesses in their team during the summer transfer window. Apart from a quality left back, they should look to invest in a defensive midfielder and a central midfielder as well.<\/p>\n
