Jose Mourinho is reportedly already thinking about Real Madrid transfer targets if he ends up returning to the Bernabeu as manager.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Benfica boss has been in talks over returning to Real Madrid for a second spell, according to the Athletic, and he\u2019ll surely be keen to make several changes to this squad.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a difficult season for the Spanish giants, and one particular area of concern seems to be in midfield.<\/p>\n

According to Fichajes, this has led Mourinho to look for Real to sign one of Chelsea\u2019s Enzo Fernandez, Liverpool\u2019s Alexis Mac Allister, or Newcastle\u2019s Sandro Tonali.<\/p>\n

Jose Mourinho wants more control in midfield<\/h2>\n

Madrid have some fine midfield players, but they\u2019ve struggled to adequately replace the quality of legendary duo Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.<\/p>\n

Even if Fernandez and Mac Allister are not quite at that level, they are arguably more similar in playing style due to their ability to get on the ball and dictate play.<\/p>\n

Chelsea could also be open to selling Fernandez, which makes him a realistic target, so Los Blancos fans will no doubt keep an eye on how this saga progresses.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, there are some doubts over Mac Allister\u2019s Liverpool future after comments from the player\u2019s father.<\/p>\n
