Calum McFarlane has hinted Levi Colwill could start the FA Cup final against Manchester City next weekend after an impressive display against Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Chelsea stopped a run of six consecutive defeats with a 1-1 draw against the Reds at Anfield, as Enzo Fernandez cancelled out Ryan Gravenberch\u2019s opener.<\/p>\n

The point does little to help Chelsea\u2019s chances of European football, and the Blues remain ninth in the table with just two games remaining.<\/p>\n

Levi Colwill could start FA Cup final<\/h2>\n

Colwill had been sidelined with an ACL injury, and he made his first appearance of the season as a half time substitute in Monday\u2019s 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n

McFarlane then handed Colwill his first start of the season at Anfield, and the England international put in an impressive performance.<\/p>\n

It was no surprise that Chelsea looked more assured at the back, and the Blues also looked a lot better in their build-up play.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the game McFarlane praised Colwill\u2019s performance, and said he\u2019s in contention to start at Wembley.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought he was exceptional today,\u201d he told his post match press conference.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI thought there was a lot of good performances. I\u2019m really pleased for Levi. He\u2019s been injured for a long time. The first 90 minutes, Anfield away, when the team aren\u2019t particularly in their best form, to go and put that level of performance in, it doesn\u2019t only show his level of talent and quality, it shows his mentality. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I\u2019m really pleased for Levi, as I am for the whole group and the team. I thought it was a really good performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

When asked if he has a chance of starting at Wembley he said: \u201cDefinitely, yeah.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
