Wayne Rooney has been discussing Chelsea and Marc Cucurella following their 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rooney was impressed with Cucurella, who played in a more attacking role on the left following injuries to Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho.<\/p>\n

However, Cucurella\u2019s standout performance for Chelsea was not the only thing that the Manchester United and England legend noticed.<\/p>\n

Wayne Rooney claims Chelsea made Liverpool crowd \u2018edgy\u2019<\/h2>\n

Rooney felt that Liverpool supporters were quite agitated as they watched their team struggle against an out-of-form Chelsea side. According to the 40-year-old, it is quite rare to see Liverpool fans like that.<\/p>\n

On the game, Rooney said via BBC Sport: \u201cI thought Liverpool actually started quite well, got the goal, and then from there Chelsea were the better team. They caused Liverpool big problems, especially Cucurella running behind.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe crowd were obviously a bit edgy, which you very rarely get from Liverpool fans. You never like to see that, but it comes from not having the season they hoped for, and after spending a lot of money.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of late, Chelsea supporters have been the ones sharing their discontent from the stands, but they would have been satisfied after the full-time whistle on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Blues came from behind to earn a point against their Premier League rivals and ended their run of six straight defeats in the English top flight.<\/p>\n

The team put in a good performance and could have won the game had Cole Palmer\u2019s goal not been disallowed.<\/p>\n

Levi Colwill was excellent after making his first start since returning from an ACL injury, giving Chelsea fans another reason to be happy.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s stats vs Liverpool<\/h2>\n

Liverpool fans had every right to be frustrated with their team and manager. A Chelsea side who had not won in six Premier League games rocked up to Anfield and managed to dominate large parts of the match.<\/p>\n

As per Sofascore, Chelsea saw more of the ball, with their ball possession being 52%. They managed six shots, which was only two fewer than the home side, and had 22 touches in the opposition box. Again, that was two fewer than Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, Chelsea probably deserved to win the match. But having been on a run of six straight league defeats, no one will be complaining about walking away from Anfield with a point.<\/p>\n
