Chelsea have been linked with Arsenal player Ethan Nwaneri<\/h2>\n

Chelsea are firmly on alert over a potential summer move for Arsenal\u2018s Ethan Nwaneri, with the Gunners now believed to be open to selling the 19-year-old attacking midfielder for a fee in the \u00a335\u201340 million range, as reported by\u00a0Mark Brus of Caught Offside. <\/p>\n

Arsenal initially sent Nwaneri on loan to Marseille in January 2026 to get him regular senior football, but the move has gone downhill. French newspaper L\u2019Equipe mentioned a \u201cpersistent impression of nonchalance\u201d regarding his performances, and Marseille manager Habib Beye publicly stated that Nwaneri failed to match the daily commitment standards the squad expected.<\/p>\n

He hasn\u2019t started a single match in the last two months of his loan, picking up just 381 minutes across all competitions. Since Nwaneri came through Arsenal\u2019s Hale End academy, any transfer would go down as pure profit for the club\u2019s PSR accounting, which is a financial boost that makes a sale much more tempting. Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, and AC Milan are also keeping an eye on things, but Chelsea\u2019s interest is the most serious among the clubs tracking developments.<\/p>\n

Chelsea should look at this deal realistically rather than getting caught up in the hype. The Cole Palmer comparison is easy to make, but Palmer arrived from Manchester City having already shown an elite work ethic in training. Nwaneri is coming off the back of attitude concerns raised by two different managers.<\/p>\n
