Liam Rosenior had proven he was not ready to be the Chelsea manager yet, however the players reportedly actually liked the Englishman as a person.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues are currently looking for a new permanent manager for the fifth time since the new ownership took over after removing Rosenior from his post after just three months at the helm.<\/p>\n

Rosenior had led the Blues to five consecutive defeats in the Premier League without scoring a goal, effectively ending their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Chelsea players actually liked Liam Rosenior behind the scenes<\/h2>\n

Reports have stated that some Chelsea players were unhappy at their teammates\u2019 lack of effort in Rosenior\u2019s final games, and this lends to claims that there was actually a lot of respect for him behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

Journalist Miguel Delaney told Libero that there was sympathy for the boss amongst those in the dressing room, however had a bigger problem with what was going on on the pitch. <\/p>\n

He said: \u201cSo from what I\u2019m told, a lot of the dressing room did actually like him and there was sympathy for him. But as we all said, he\u2019s clearly a good guy. But yeah, there was a core that just in classic football vernacular, a more old fashioned football vernacular, they weren\u2019t having him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many could see this coming. Gary Neville admitted from day one he believed Rosenior\u2019s appointment wouldn\u2019t work out.<\/p>\n

Recent reports have claimed that Chelsea accelerated their interest in hiring Rosenior because Tottenham were circling around the then-Strasbourg boss.<\/p>\n

Candidates to take over at Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Chelsea have already been linked with a number of different candidates to sit in the dugout from the start of next season.<\/p>\n

The ownership are seemingly leaning towards Andoni Iraola as the best possible candidate based on the fact he has Premier League experience.<\/p>\n

Marco Silva and Eddie Howe, both with English clubs at the moment, have also been mentioned as potential figures who could take over.<\/p>\n

Large portions of the fanbase are keen to see Cesc Fabregas become the manager, however he does not currently look in the race for the job.<\/p>\n
