We\u2019ve got a big one for you today. On June 2, Thomas Tuchel will announce his official 26-man England squad for the 2026 World Cup \u2013 but who will be in it this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n We\u2019re going to jump the gun and predict how Tuchel\u2019s squad may look. Please note \u2013 this isn\u2019t necessarily who we\u2019d pick. Rather, we\u2019re looking at who Tuchel is most likely to include in his squad.<\/p>\n Jordan Pickford has been England\u2019s number one for eight years now. We don\u2019t see any reason for this to change \u2013 he\u2019s enjoyed an excellent season with Everton in the Premier League.<\/p>\n While he can be erratic at times, his superhuman reflexes and brave shot-stopping more than make up for it.<\/p>\n Dean Henderson is unfortunate \u2013 were it not for Pickford, we\u2019re sure that the former Manchester United man would have had a lengthy stint as England goalkeeper. As things stand, he is a very capable backup option. <\/p>\n Henderson\u2019s greatest strength is in his shot-stopping, but he has also learned how to read the game with much more fluency during his time with Crystal Palace. <\/p>\n As England\u2019s third goalkeeper, James Trafford probably won\u2019t feature at the World Cup, but it should be a great learning experience for him nonetheless.<\/p>\n At just 23 years of age, Trafford will probably be England\u2019s first-choice \u2018keeper when Pickford and Henderson have retired \u2013 as such, he needs to be bedded in as much as possible. <\/p>\n \n <\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We\u2019ve got a big one for you today.
